Good Ol' Days


The Good Ol' Days conjure up different memories for different people. One thing they all have in common though is that the days remembered are of a simpler time, innocence, fun, less responsibility, and less stressful. 

Although I was born in the 60's, I think of Chevy's, milkshakes, poodle skirts, beehive hair do's and sock-hops. I have often wondered what it would have been like to be a teenager in the late 50's. 

The original was painted on a ceramic mug with DecoArt Glass Markers, however the class painting will be done on a canvas using DecoArt Acrylic Paints. A list for both mediums are listed below.

Supply List

  • White coffee mug -OR-
  • Canvas 9" x 12"

For the Mug: DecoArt Glass paint marker - White, Black, Turquoise, and silver

For Canvas: DecoArt Americana Acrylic paint colors: Berry Red, Lamp Black,  Napa Red, Scarlet and Snow White.  DecoArt Traditions True Silver

Preparation: Trace line drawing onto surface. On the Mug - use Black Glass Marker to outline the car and fill in the black areas. On the Canvas - Paint black areas with Lamp Black, Grey/Silver areas with a mix of Snow White + Lamp Black (2:1/2), Car with Scarlet.
